Tricia grew up in Spring Grove and moved back with her husband to raise her girls. Having attended the Child Development Center herself as a young child, Grace Lutheran Church holds a special place in her heart. “When coming to Grace, I was looking for a place that my family and I could grow in our faith. There is a sense of community and belonging at Grace that has always made me feel safe and welcome.”

“While there are many things that make me call Grace my church home, the first memory I have is clear to my husband and I. It was the second or third time attending service and as we walked through the door Pastor Andy greeted us all by our names. In that moment I knew we had found the church for us.”

Along with attending church on Sundays and helping teach Sunday School, Tricia sends her daughters to Grace’s Child Development Center. She feels the staff there is like family. “They are committed to helping our girls learn and truly love them. Dropping your kids off can be difficult, but Grace has made that transition easier.”

Tricia is excited for her own daughters to grow up in the church because of the strength and support of our church community. “Seeing familiar faces every day I drop my daughters off at the daycare, or walk into church on Sunday is so special. Grace has always made me feel at home and I am so happy that I can give that gift to my children as well.”

Grace Lutheran Child Development Centers share God’s work through the ministry of early childhood education. The centers are designed to reach out to families and provide a safe, loving environment where children can grow, learn, and develop as well as “creating a safe and welcoming environment is crucial for the next generation to call Grace their home.”
