Congregation Life

A wonderful gift in a community of faith is the opportunity to make connections with others.  There are a variety of ways to get involved in congregation life. Check out our opportunities and make your connection.

WorshipThere are many opportunities to help with the service.  Opportunities include, but are not limited to Ushers, Greeters, Lectors, Worship Assistants, Communion Assistants, Projection Operators, and Altar Team. If you would like to help with the service, please call the office.

Music Join the People of Praise Choir in song, worship, and fun!  All experience levels are welcome, and no long-term commitment is necessary!  For questions and more information on rehearsals and performances, ask our choir director, Kristin Miller.

FellowshipThere’s a time of fellowship following the Sunday services.  Stay for coffee and treats – it’s a great opportunity to make new friends and learn more about Grace.  Watch the announcements for other opportunities for fellowship such as the Easter Breakfast on Easter morning and Trunk or Treat at Halloween.

High School Youth Group (RINGS)Our youth group is open to anyone in high school.  We work with St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hebron to form one group.  The goal of this group is to have fun, to serve, and to deepen our relationship with God.  In the summer of 2018 we will attend a youth gathering in Houston.

Softball Team – Grace’s co-ed softball team plays in the McHenry Christian Fellowship Softball League on Monday evenings starting at either 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm or 8:30 pm.  Players must be at least 16 years old; players 55 years and older must have a doctor’s note (league rules).  For more information or to sign up contact gracelutheransoftball@gmail.com
